The story

A decade in broadcast, then back to full production.

Caffeine Films was founded in 2019 by Ryan Kent. Behind it is a decade of broadcast editing and a simple itch - to get back into full production and help local Suffolk businesses, and plenty beyond, use film to grow their brand.

In the first year we produced a run of films for the University of Suffolk and promos for the band Faraday, fronted by former All The Young frontman Ryan Dooley. Independent barbers Liam's Barbershop and Suffolk's own Humber Doucy Brewing Co. followed. More recently we delivered a fundraising film for GB Snowsport's Telemark campaign, featuring World Cup winner Jasmin Taylor.

How we work

Lean crews. Clear intentions. Craft first.

01

Story over spectacle

We don't chase kit for its own sake. Every choice - camera, lens, cut - is there to serve the story you're telling. The gear gets out of the way.

02

Built to be re-used

One shoot can become a hero film, a set of social cuts and a library of stills. We plan for that from the start, so the budget goes further.

03

One person, start to finish

The person you brief is the person who directs the day and sits in the edit. Nothing gets lost in a handover because there isn't one.
